(ง'̀-'́)งFight kaomoji
Fists up, determined, absolutely not going to fight anyone.

What it means
Mock combat. The fight face is how you accept a challenge you have no intention of pursuing — a rival opinion about a film, a friend's terrible take, a colleague claiming the last biscuit. The raised fists and gritted expression make the aggression obviously theatrical. It's also used sincerely as encouragement, in the sense of “let's go, we've got this.”
Where each character comes from
Every kaomoji is borrowed type. None of these characters were designed to be part of a face.
| Char | Code point | Unicode name | Role in the face |
|---|---|---|---|
| ง | U+0E07 | THAI CHARACTER NGO NGU | The fists — one raised on each side, curled. |
| ' | U+0027 | APOSTROPHE | The eyes, narrowed to slits. |
| ◌̀ | U+0300 | COMBINING GRAVE ACCENT | Tilts the left brow down. A combining mark — it has no width of its own and attaches to the character before it. |
| ◌́ | U+0301 | COMBINING ACUTE ACCENT | Tilts the right brow down, mirroring the left. Together the two accents produce the scowl. |
| - | U+002D | HYPHEN-MINUS | A flat, set mouth. |
The fists are ง, a consonant from the Thai script (ngo ngu), borrowed for its curled shape. The brows are the interesting part: they are not characters in their own right but combining diacritics — U+0300 and U+0301 — which attach to the apostrophes in front of them. That is the same trick used across the sports category to make a face look determined rather than merely awake.
How to type it without breaking it
Copy it. The combining accents are the reason: they have no width of their own and attach to whatever character precedes them, so retyping the face by hand tends to lose them, double them, or bind them to the wrong symbol. Some variants add ✧ for emphasis: (ง'̀-'́)ง✧.
When to use it
Playful disagreement, gym-day posts, accepting a bet, or cheering someone on before something hard. Never as an actual threat — the whole point is that it isn't one.
